Resident Evil Revelations 2 Revealed

Early this morning at Sony’s pre-TGS PlayStation press conference in Japan, Capcom took the stage and finally confirmed the previously-rumored Resident Evil Revelations 2. Even better, is that it’s planned to launch in “Early 2015″. Is is also important to note, that Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be featured at Tokyo Game Show in some sort of playable form!

Resident Evil Revelations 2 was originally leaked last week, when French website Gamer in a Box  noticed that Xbox.com had hap(bio)hazardly posted two revealing images relating to this previously unannounced title. While the box art and concept art were both to be believed with care, they have been proven to be legit.

Since the press conference this morning, Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil Revelations 2 will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. There was no follow-up regarding any Wii U version.

Unlike the original Resident Evil Revelations, this sequel will not revolve around Chris or Jill. Although the narrative of this upcoming title is still shrouded in mystery, there are a few points of interest featured in the above-included teaser trailer, as well on their newly launched site. Key tidbits from the trailer include the obvious appearance of TerraSave, as well as the obvious tease of the ship painting in the background. More importantly, digging around in the Source of the site, I came across something quite interesting. Check out the original image pulled from the site, as well as the cleaned-up version.
